Indie Spiritualist – A No Bullshit Exploration of Spirituality

After years of heavy addiction, Chris Grosso found himself literally on his knees, utterly lost and broken. Grasping for life, Chris needed to find a new path, one that went beyond conventional religious or spiritual doctrine—one free of bullshit.

Blazing his own path, Chris Grosso discovered that spirituality is not something that only happens on meditation cushions or yoga mats; in sanghas, churches, mosques, temples, or synagogues. And, it’s not always peaceful and quiet. It can be as loud as a rock concert. Brutally honest and radically unconventional, Grosso’s collection of stories and musings about his meandering journey of self-inquiry, recovery, and acceptance shows what it means to live a truly authentic life.

Indie Spiritualist empowers readers to accept themselves as they are, in all their humanity and imperfect perfection, to honor the spiritual truth within themselves, to question the answers regardless of what anyone says.

“I offer Chris Grosso and his book Indie Spiritualist a blessing, and that comes through from ‘The Boss’.” – Ram Dass

A brief excerpt from Chris’ book ‘Indie Spiritualist: “In a recent conversation with one of my friends, who was helping me take some pictures for my websites bio page, she playfully cracked on my interest in spirituality by teasing me that I wasn’t smiling enough in the photos, and said, “What would all of the spiritual people think?” Her joke didn’t mean much to me at the time, but later I really began to ponder why I was drawn to spirituality while she wasn’t, and how her playful comment about “spiritual people” actually said a lot more than I had initially realized.”
