“Having already faced death, I now know that spending a lifetime of always playing it safe —for example, by choosing the safest career, by pleasing people, worrying about what everyone else thinks of me, meeting everyone else’s expectations except my own, being what everyone else wanted me to be, etc.— is a totally wasted life.” – Anita Moorjani
“DON’T WAIT TO DIE TO LEARN THE TRUE VALUE OF YOUR LIFE.”
What if this is Heaven?
What If THIS Is Heaven? is a reminder of who we truly are and why we came here. In this book Anita debunks some of the biggest myths we have been buying into—myths that have prevented us from fully living our lives simply because they have been the dominant beliefs in our surrounding culture.
We are born knowing the truth of who we are. But we reject this knowledge as we grow up and try to fit in and conform to society, conditioning ourselves to its norms. We learn to look outside ourselves for guidance, and in doing so, we take on other people’s expectations for us. Then when we can’t live up to all these external expectations, we feel inadequate and flawed. Nothing can change these destructive patterns until we break open the myths and reveal the lies that have been informing our thoughts and beliefs. Stop accepting what’s passed down through generations as truth and start questioning!
In our very personal conversation, we touch on all of these subjects. Our written interview appeared first in OMTimes Magazine, and now, you can sit back, relax, and watch a delightful interview with Anita Moorjani about her second book What if this is Heaven?

Wonderful interview…thank you! I appreciated the perspectives you both shared, and agree that it does get down to a shift in our culture and in each one of us at a very basic and fundamental level. On my own personal journey I have realized the need to change how I view myself, as well as how I view others and my relationship to the world. Looking within for answers and really trusting and taking my heart’s guidance seriously is a shift I have been working on, and I am grateful to be on that path. It has not always been easy and has taken a lot of courage at times. I am grateful that more people…such as the two of you…are talking about the importance of following your heart and looking within for answers. I know there are many people on that path, trying to make that shift, and I am grateful for that as well. I also agree that a major factor is in choosing love over fear. When I am able to make that shift in myself it always helps me see things differently and gives me a different perspective.
I read “Dying to Be Me” when it was first released. It came at a very important time in my life, and I related to so much of it. I look forward to reading Anita’s new book.
The interview helped me gain a better understanding of what it is about. Thank you both for sharing!
Thank you Therese, for sharing your personal experience with us. Both Anita and myself really appreciate this. When the love and courage become stronger than the fear (for the unknown, and to be vulnerable) that’s the moment when you begin to set yourself free and start living life on purpose. With gratitude… Dirk
